After initial setup, local AI operates on an internal LAN (wired up to 10GbE or Wi-Fi 7), including isolated networks. Initial OS setup requires temporary internet access. Optional update and web-connected features need their own network arrangements.

Data protection

Storage uses an NVMe SSD with self-encryption support. Data stays on the appliance and is not sent or backed up to an external cloud. Data-erasure guidance is also available for disposal.

Update policy

Administrators choose when to apply software updates. Offline update methods are available for isolated environments. See Support page.

Vulnerability handling

The operating system is NVIDIA DGX OS, based on Ubuntu Linux Pro. Vulnerability information for the OS and supplied software is monitored, with patches provided as needed.
